CIOB Chartered Membership Program Eligibility Criteria

Who can become a member of the CIOB?

has just graduated or an experienced leader with 20 years of project
management, you can become its member. The organization has tailored
services to help, which will guide you through the whole process of
attaining Chartership.
CIOB's eligibility criteria for Chartered Membership Program:
The Chartered Membership Program (CMP) is for Construction
professionals. These professionals must be capable of working towards
becoming a full Chartered Member (MCIOB). They can become it through a
structured study program that is designed to help experienced
construction professionals in demonstrating their
CIOB competencies.
This program combines elements of study so that students can develop a
strong understanding of the principles of construction management. This
course is made specifically for progression leading MCIOB. For that,
one has to complete the Professional Review. You must have one of the
following qualifications to start this course leading to CIOB's Membership
(MCIOB):
- Technical qualifications like HND or HNC
- Five-year experience in a construction management role
- Completing a Level 4 Site Management qualification
What is a Professional Review of CIOB?
The
CIOB Professional Review
is the last stage to attaining Chartership for most candidates. It will
evaluate your knowledge, skills and experience in the three major
areas: management, occupational and professionalism. When passing your
assessment, you will become a Chartered Member. After that, you can use
the designation MCIOB.
What are guidance notes?
You must read the guidance that will get with the application form.
It will detail the required supporting documents that you have to submit
with your application. For instance, you may submit your latest resume
and current record of your CPD. You should hire a CIOB expert for an
effective CIOB's CPD.
Professional Review processing time:
From receiving your application and payment, you can expect the
process to consume nearly 8 to 12 weeks. It may consume more time if any
documents or information is missing from your documents.
Professional Review Form:
There are 3 Professional Review forms. The one you will require is
dependent on your experience and qualifications. After joining the CIOB
at Applicant grade, you can pick the form for yourself.
The Application Form is a PDF document. So, make sure that you

application form. Doing so will allow you to save the information that
you are putting into the document.
