Are you a former P.Eng. licence holder having resigned your
licence in the past? Or Are you a former licence holder with your
licence cancelled because of outstanding fees? If yes, then you can
apply as a Reinstatement applicant with PEO.
If applying as a P.Eng. Reinstatement applicant, send your P.Eng.
Reinstatement application form and the necessary documents to
reinstatement@peo.on.ca to get them reviewed.
As per the date of your resignation or cancellation of your P.Eng licence with PEO, adhere to the corresponding submission requirements provided below.
Your cancellation or resignation date will appear on your PEO licence
cancellation email/letter. If you can’t locate this information, you
need to contact Financial Services by phone at 416-224-1100 ext.1125 to
get this information.
Submission requirements:
- If having your licence cancelled for up to 90 days, log in to your PEO portal account and pay your fees using the given link https://secure.peo.on.ca/ebusiness/home. In case of without a Professional Engineers Ontario portal account, you need to reach Financial Services at 416-224-1100 ext.1125.
- If having your licence cancelled for 91 to 365 days, reach the Financial Services department to reinstate your licence at 416-224-1100 ext. 1125.
- If having your licence cancelled for 1 to 2 years or you resigned your licence in the past, apply again by submitting your P.Eng. Reinstatement Application form. You also need to submit an acceptable identification document. For your reference list, include a minimum of two references (they are not required to be a P.Eng. licence holder). Submit it to reinstatements@peo.on.ca for review.
- If having your licence cancelled for 2 years or more, you need to apply again by submitting your P.Eng. Reinstatement Application form, a Codes and Standards Experience Form, an acceptable identification document and a Professional Development Report. For the referee list, you need to include a minimum of two P.Eng. licence holders with whom you currently work. You need to submit this information to reinstatements@peo.on.ca for review.
Reinstatement fees:
If the licence is cancelled for up to 90 days:
- The reinstatement registration fee is $60 along with HST
- The yearly fees for the current year with HST
If cancelled for 91 to 365 days:
- Reinstatement registration fee is $280 with HST
- The fees owing at the licence cancellation time with HST
- The annual fees for the current year with HST
Licence cancelled for 1 to 2 years:
Reinstatement registration fee is $280 with HST
- The fees owing the licence cancellation time with HST
- The annual fees for the current year with HST
If licence cancelled for 2 or more years:
- Reinstatement registration fee is %555 with HST
- The fees owing at the licence cancellation time with HST
- The annual fees for the current year with HST
Resigned Members:
- Reinstatement registration fee is $280 with HST
- The fees owing at the resigning time with HST
- The annual fees for the current year with HST
